EPFL Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
The project enhances the understanding of photography books through a multisensory experience powered by AI, stimulating the perception of content. Through research and experimentation, it develops innovative interfaces that enrich the cultural experience, offering an immersive and interactive reading journey.
“Open Books” explores new ways of engaging with photography books, enhancing visual comprehension through a multisensory experience powered by artificial intelligence. The project, born from a collaboration with the international photographic archive Photo Elysée, aims to transform the reading of photography books into a more immersive interaction, allowing the user to perceive the images in a deeper and more intuitive way.
Through its interface, the content becomes more accessible and immersive, analyzing visual characteristics such as color, light, and regularity in images, thus enriching both visual and cultural perception.
Visual design plays a crucial role, translating complex concepts into a clear and immediate language, supported by a minimalist and dynamic aesthetic. This approach not only facilitates interaction but also enhances the value of the images, guiding the user through a smooth and synesthetic experience composed of visual stimuli and sound traces.
The combination of technology and design redefines the relationship between reader and photography, opening new possibilities for the consumption of visual content in the digital sphere.
