Livre Blanc Silence Chantier
ENS Paris-Saclay
The project addresses the issue of noise pollution in urban construction sites. This white provides a detailed understanding of the sector and proposes targeted solutions to improve the surrounding sound environment.
The publication “Livre Blanc Silence Chantier” was initiated by the Société du Grand Paris (SGP) with the aim of collecting and disseminating in-depth knowledge on the issue of noise in urban construction sites, while simultaneously proposing concrete solutions to improve the acoustic environment, particularly within the French context. This editorial product is conceived as a practical tool designed to support initiatives aimed at preventing and reducing noise pollution caused by large-scale infrastructural works.
Within the volume, the issue of sound emissions is addressed from a multidimensional perspective, analyzing its technological, organizational, legal, and political dimensions. The chosen approach is both technical and systemic: it offers innovative and interconnected pathways that examine each phase of noise propagation and its perception by the inhabitants of affected territories.
The project outlines a comprehensive action plan, encompassing the implementation of existing technical solutions, the experimentation with alternative methods, and a redefinition of responsibilities among the various stakeholders involved.
The physical volume comprises 236 pages and includes a detailed map of solutions for noise reduction and prevention, as well as a checklist that enables professionals to plan their actions against noise more effectively.
